Marilyn Ens and Jacquie Edinborough flew over Eastern Canada at about the same time on Friday, July 7—going in opposite directions. Marilyn took to the skies from Port Harcourt, Nigeria the previous day and Jackie had just started her journey from Vancouver International Airport earlier that morning. It was unfortunate that the two were not able to meet up during their travels but both were glad to arrive at their destinations safely.

Marilyn’s month-long visit to Eziama was a success as she spent time training Henry, the new GraceHospital accountant. They both were able to accomplish everything they had set out to do and she is confident that the work will continue to be done with excellence. The trip was also a blessing to Marilyn as she felt love and appreciation from all. “It was wonderful to see friends again and be reminded of how God is working in His people in rural Africa.”

In May, Jackie’s Nigerian visitor visa could no longer be extended so she hopped on a plane and returned to Canada. It was uncertain when she could go back or if she could go back at all; however, in late June, with complete documentation, Jackie was able to obtain a volunteer visa that will extend for one full year. Her 30 hour trip ended Sunday morning—Nigerian time—with a warm welcome from Ambrose and Linda and the entire Gospel Missionary Church in Eziama.
