More Teams on the Go
July 10, 2012
Trip activity is currently ramping up, as the prime season for sending teams has arrived. Three such groups are the main focus of this update.A team from Cochrane Alliance Church in Alberta is just returning from Guatemala, where they were involved in building a house for a family in need, continuing construction on a church/school and building relationships with local families. You can read about their amazing experiences on their trip blog.
As one team leaves Guatemala, another arrives. North Point Community Church, also from Alberta, will be engaging in community development activities such as health, sanitation, education and evangilism. Included in their project is work on a community hall that will serve residents with a safe and dry place to meet. You can follow their adventures on their trip blog.
Across the globe, a team from Living Hope Christian Fellowship from Vancouver Island is in Cambodia, where they are in the initial phases of a new project which involves helping to fund the construction of a youth centre. The team is currently building relationships with people involved in the ministry, and involved in teaching and training sessions in the community. Read their trip blog to hear about all their experiences.
Pray that these teams will have life-changing encounters and experiences, and that God will use them and their sacrifices to aid in eradicating needless suffering in these communities.
