Ciudad de Juárez is a city of 2.4 million people that boarders the US directly adjoined to El Paso, TX. It is an arid climate due to it being located in the Chihuahua Dessert region. Summer average high is 34 °C (93 °F) with lows of 22 °C (72 °F). Because of the high altitude of 1219 m Ciudad Juárez is cooler than other desert cities in Mexico. Rainfall is very scarce but it is more prominent in the summer months. Snowfall is not a rare event-it normally snows once or twice every winter.

Pastor Tomas has lived and worked in Juárez since 1982 where he began Bethel Church and still pastors there. He has also raised up seven other churches in Juárez and two in El Paso, TX.
