Gerry & Charlene Stinson

Gerry-Director of Finance and Administration

After his studies at Briercrest Bible College, Gerry entered the arena of business and finance, and owned and operated a successful retail business for more than 16 years. He served as Treasurer in his home church for a number of years during this time, where his experience in finance and administration was enhanced by this exposure to charity financial management.

At its inception, Gerry accepted the role of Business Manager with HFL in a volunteer capacity, but the rapid growth of the ministry, and a clear sense of the calling of God on his life took him out of his business and to HFL in a full time capacity in 2005.

Charlene studied music at the University of Alberta, followed by Biblical Studies at Briercrest Bible College. She met and married Gerry in 1988, and together they entered the world of business, where she worked primarily in human resources and development for more than 16 years.

Charlene was instrumental in the vision and beginning of Shekinah, the worship ministry, and also what is now Hungry For Life. As a gifted musician and worship leader, she has led Shekinah for more than 10 years, along with many other events and conferences. From 2006 to 2009 she held the position of Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts at Chilliwack Alliance Church, while still maintaining her involvement and executive leadership position at Hungry For Life. In 2009, precipitated by the growth of Hungry For Life, her passion and calling to the marginalized of this world, and a hunger to see the Church of Christ in North America, experience renewal, she resigned her pastoral position and is now serving in a full-time capacity at HFL.
