Kayla had previous missions experience on two separate trips to Mexico, but in October of 2007, God spoke more clearly to her regarding missions and her future than ever before--He called her to attend a Discipleship Training School in Jamaica. She spent three months in Jamaica for schooling on missionary work, and two months in Albania doing outreach in a small village. During this time she learned how to better decipher God's voice from her own, and grew much deeper in her relationship with Him.

Upon returning home to Chilliwack in July 2008, Kayla started working as an Administrative Assistant at two different jobs. While she enjoyed this type of work, there was a growing dissatisfaction inside and so she began to bring it before God in prayer. He slowly began pointing her towards full-time ministry and then, more specifically to Hungry For Life. She is excited to play a part in changing lives in this way, and is energized in knowing that she is living out God's will for her life.
