Leah Frede
Teams and Project Services
After graduating from Mennonite Educational Institute (MEI) in 2006, Leah continued working at a few part-time jobs in Chilliwack while she saved money and made plans for the following year. In January 2007 Leah boarded a plane and flew to New Zealand to attend Capernwray Bible School. She spent six months attending classes, making new friends and visiting amazing beaches. During her time on the north island, Leah learned so much about her personal relationship with God and experienced Him in new ways. Before leaving the South Pacific, Leah spent time touring Australia with a friend, and enjoyed snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef and seeing a performance at the Sydney Opera House. Once back home in Chilliwack, she began a four-month Administrative Assistant program MTI Community College.
At the end of 2007, Leah started to feel strongly about pursuing the call of God in her life for ministry and to take the opportunity to join the Hungry For Life team. She is excited to be used by God in this way and feels privileged to be a part of life change all over the world. Leah has additional international experience in Thailand and Mexico through MEI, where she participated in work projects, VBS and visiting in AIDS orphanages as well as slums. She also has participated in local outreach trips in BC with her youth group. In her spare time, Leah continues to volunteer with the Chilliwack Alliance Church youth as a small group leader and enjoys playing volleyball with friends and family.
