In 2005 Steve found Christ and quickly became involved with everything associated with Christianity. He felt lost as to what REAL Christianity looked like until he found it in James 1:27:

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (NIV)

This verse came to fuel his passion for missions, and in April 2007 he and Carmen went to Haiti on a short-term trip. When they returned to Haiti in November 2007, Steve began to realize that he could best serve God’s plan for his life in Canada. After leading a trip to Haiti in May 2008, he began to observe that in leading the trip he had helped ignite his church to live out what James was writing about. 

As a Project Manger, Steve desires to help people become involved in God’s plan for the poor. He longs to see a revival amongst Christians of love and compassion that would be a lasting testimony to people of this world.
