After high school I split my time between seasonal work at Camp Squeah and filling in the off-season with everything from sales to framing, just waiting for the next season at camp to start again. I was sure I was going to spend my life in camp ministry but God had other plans. Soon after my wife, Ashley, became pregnant we realized that, although camp was a wonderful ministry, it wasn't our ministry and it was time to move on. We spent the next year in Chilliwack, where I worked as a painter and volunteered with our church's youth group. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that there still had to be something more. I have a little international experience from trips to the South Pacific and Thailand but never considered missions as being our ministry. After hearing about Hungry For Life from one of the staff and learning about the passion and vision of the organization, we knew this was the ministry we'd been looking for. It's a joy to be part of sharing in God's work here on earth and seeing his love and power change the world.
