Mark Hutchinson
Chairman
Mark has spent his business career as a Manager, Director and CEO in the UK, Denmark and Canada. He has spoken on business building strategies in seven countries. With his wife Angela, he is the owner and CEO of Blessings Christian Marketplace (Canada); he has also served on the Board of Directors at Chilliwack Alliance Church, where he and Angela attend.

Jim Miller
Vice-Chairman
Jim is the owner and principal consultant of TCS Performance Strategies Inc., a Human Resource consulting firm specializing in organizational assessment, specifically employee and customer engagement research and development. His prior board experiences includes being the first Board Chair for HFL, as well as board positions with a long-term care seniors facility and Surrey Alliance Church. Jim is also a supporter and volunteer at the Union Gospel Mission and the Salvation Army. He and his wife reside in Langley, BC.

Harvey Adrian
Secretary
Harvey has been involved in various roles of church and non-profit board leadership for years, and was an early supporter of HFL, contributing some resources to our initial board model and make-up. Harvey and his wife Darlene moved away from Chilliwack for a few years to be closer to their children and grandchildren, but in 2011 moved back to the area. Harvey also serves on the Board of Directors of the Briercrest Schools.

Rob Ayer
Director
Rob is currently the Lead Pastor at Crossroads Community Church. He is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Chicago and has more than 20 years of ministry experience—including leading teams on missions trips. Rob and his wife, Jackie and their two children, Josh and Cailey live in Chilliwack.

Dave Blundell
Director
Dave gives leadership to the organization with the Board of Directors and through the Sr. Leadership Team. He was married to Heidi in 1997 and has two children, Caleb (1998) and Abby (1999). In addition to serving and leading at HFL, Dave loves to hang out with his family as well as read, write and coach baseball.

Kathy Krahn
Director
Kathy is involved in various volunteer areas of her local church (River of Life) and on the MCC Relief Sale Foods Committee. She has had the privilege of participating on several missions trips to Brazil and Ukraine over the last 6 years.  Kathy graduated from Columbia Bible College in 1986 and now lives with her husband Rob, and their two sons Derek and Karl in Greendale.

Jake Oostenbrink
Director
Jake works as a emergency physician at Chilliwack General Hospital, where he uses his skills to help those in need. During a missions trip to Kenya with his family a few years ago, he realized the importance of getting connected with trusted partners in the mission field. Since then he has gotten involved with and become a supporter of HFL. Jake and his wife Alma have three boys and reside in Chilliwack, where they attend Southside Church. Jake loves mountain biking, skiing and hanging out with his family.

Scott Stewart
HFL USA
Scott has owned and operated his own insurance agency for over 18 years, specializing in Personal and Commercial lines insurance. Scott also sits on the HFL USA board as well as serving on the board of Big Canyon Ranch Christian Camp. Additionally, Scott serves as a Team Leader for HFL once or twice a year. He is married to his beautiful wife Deanne and has one daughter, Courtney, who is away at college. Along with serving HFL, Scott loves mountain biking and skiing.

Ruth Toews
Director
Ruth has worked as an educator and in office management. She lives in North Vancouver with her husband Sig. They are leaders in the house church movement Simplechurches, an affiliate of North Shore Alliance Church. Ruth’s passion is seeing God working through us in coming alongside people on their journeys. Her numerous mission trips to Ukraine are highlights as she has seen God working—one deed and one person at a time.

Dick Westeringh
Treasurer
Dick is a local developer and builder in the Chilliwack area with a passion to care for children and people in need. Dick and his wife Mary Anne have 10 children, 5 of whom are adopted from various countries. Dick attends Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church and had also been attending the monthly Shekinah event for years.
