Cranbrook Community

10/15/07

Hello supporters!

Today marks the start of another journey. This one will take a medical team from Cranbrook Community into Haiti to conduct medical clinics in two villages; Gramothe and Grand Goave. The team is currently made up of six individuals, with the possibility of a seventh to join up with us in Haiti. I will introduce these team members to you as we travel this journey over the next two weeks. The team members are en route (or will be shortly) and will be traveling for the next 24 hours via different routes to Haiti, where we will all meet up at the airport in Port-au-Prince, the capital city on Tuesday. From there we will be traveling to the home of Willem and Beth Charles of Mountain Top Ministries (check out link on this page), located in Thomassin across a valley from the village of Gramothe.

My name is Paul, and I will be the HFL team leader for this trip. I have served with HFL since early this spring, and by the time this year closes I will have spent more time in Haiti than I will have spent in British Columbia. I call South Surrey home, from where I enjoy outdoor pursuits such as hiking and sailing. I am passionate about facilitating opportunities for people to be involved in worldwide compassion, and the witness that it has on individuals' lives. I am privileged to be leading this team and look forward to the journey ahead. Feel free to contact me for any reason through HFL's Contact Page.

On behalf of the team, thank you for your partnership which has, and is, acted out through support and prayers. May you be blessed through witnessing how your contributions to this trip, and the communities involved, are being channeled. Please continue to support us as we partner together on this journey. Check back daily for updates including photos and stories!

Prayer Requests:

-Praise for the ability to be involved directly or in partnership in aiding the people of Haiti
-Travel safety for team
-Preparation of minds and hearts of the individuals traveling for the service that they have committed to

May you be blessed!

Paul DenHaan
HFL Team Leader
