Ediger's Haiti Trip
It is Saturday and our time is almost spent.
This morning, tables we made and then of to the village we went.
We visited the community in their dwellings so small.
But happy and proud were they all.
Then back to the church and down the hill in the back of a truck.
We bounced and jerked are way to the bottom through the muck.
Across the river again we did ford.
Up the hill, back to the house, no time to be bored.
Off to the Baptist mission and a time to shop.
Some purchased a few items on the mountain top.
We all had a taste of Haitian ice cream.
Then back into the truck without a scream.
Back at Willems house and dinner we had.
We ate another great meal, and all were glad.
To say we haven't had a great time,
Would be an understatement so sublime.
But each have seen how God has changed a village hillside
And changed our lives to open our hearts wide.
