Welcome to this trip blog!

The team has made it to Haiti! It was a 'long haul, but all went well without any major glitches'.

I will be relaying information and pictures sent to me by the team in Haiti. Here is some background:

The team is made up of 11 individuals from the Chilliwack community who have responded to a need at Mountain Top Ministries in Haiti. MTM has been blessed with an abundance of resources and funds which have been sent down to help them with building schools in the villages of Gramothe and Dumay. The buildings are on the way to completion, but in order for them to be usable the school kids and teachers need desks, shelves, tables and chairs.

Ediger and Sons Construction, a major supporter of MTM, has been key in getting this group of friends and coworkers together for this trip. Ron Ediger and John Frede are leading the team over the next week as they participate in helping MTM out. The team will be staying in the home of Willem and Beth Charles, the directors of MTM, who have converted their home to a guest home for teams and individuals who travel to Haiti to work with them.
