Visit to Jacmel

Today we visited the ocean town of Jacmel. Jacmel is rich in remnants of the French culture, with many old buildings adorned with French architecture and design. One of the team members remarked that it reminded them of "Pirates of the Carribean"!
We arrived by bus shortly after 10 am and quickly tested out the blue water. It was amazing! The beach stretched out into the ocean quite far, which allowed us to play some ocean football. We ate lunch with all the staff from Haiti ARISE, which had travelled with us as part of a day of recognition and appreciation for them. Lunch was fried chicken and fresh bbq'd fish! I took some photos of the fish, it may not look like much but it was quoted as being: "The best fish I have ever had!". It was so good in fact that a few team members even ate the eyeballs!
After we ate our delicious meal, we started out a game of football (Canada Football). It was pretty cool to play in sand, in the sun and using the ocean as part of your playing field! We even got a bunch of the local kids to play with us, which only added to the experience.
The day ended with a spaghetti dinner back at the compound and us guys rubbing Aloe Vera lotion on our very red bodies.

Well, now I know Jonathan made it to Haiti because I'm certain that's him in front of Chad. By the way, what's Chad doing out there (dancing?). I'm still not sure if Spencer is down there but I think I see a tenth of his face beside Aaron P. in the photos below. Please confirm. Spencer, to get more exposure, I would recommend doing something spectacular to attract photographers. I'm sure your parents will appreciate it. . .
