We Made It!

I sit here exhausted at the end of a very long day. We began our travels Wednesday evening and have just arrived at our destination in Mirebalais at 4pm Thursday evening. The journey was long, but smooth, in fact not a single bag or person was lost, which is always a good thing. The team got the "only in Haiti" opportunity to pack into a "Tap Tap", which is a very colorfully decorated Haitian bus. It was a welcome change to all be together during the travel, rather than riding in separate trucks, plus we all got to experience more of Haiti through the very comfortable wooden seats.
The team is in high spirits as we eat our spaghetti dinner and talk about the day's adventures. We will visit the orphanage tomorrow afternoon, after taking in some sights around the community. Continue to pray for us as our journey from here on out will become more so utterly dependent on God and His plan for this team.

Love the "Tap Tap" you got to ride in and all your smiling faces!
This morning I read in the Message Bible, Psalm 113, and thought of you amidst my tears when I read ".....He picks up the poor from out of the dirt, rescues the wretched who've been thrown out with the trash. Seats them among the honored guests, a place of honor among the brightest and best..."
WOW! What a privilege you have to love on the people you encounter day by day.
Love and prayers, MaryAnn Muth
