We're here! Down to work...

The team on the new (and in use!) building.

We made it safe and sound, without a hitch and with all our luggage!
Yesterday we spent the morning napping and trying to get acclimatized to the 10,800 ft above sea level at which Cusco is situated. Then we got started on some light work - washing walls in preparation for paint touch-ups. The ATEK staff moved their offices into the new building the day before we came, and now we will be touching up the place.

Rebecca washing walls.

Today is a full work day and so far we've been filling holes in the old offices (soon to be dorms):

David filling in holes.

sanding the outside of the new building in order to prime and paint it:

Rob & Reg (Reg & Rob?) sanding.

Morgan & Pastor Bill getting the primer ready.

Josh & Morgan sanding.

We also sanded and varnished doors and window frames but the internet quit uploading my pictures so I'll try again tomorrow!
Thanks again for praying and all your support!

Great work! Its so neat to see the building and the familiar "paint and scrape" routines! I'm so glad you are all safe. Praying for you all.

Hi guys. Looks like you have some great work to do. Work hard. Don't worry, you'll get used to the altitude, just give it a few days. Praying that this will have an eternal impact for you and those you touch. Hey David, is the Spanish the same as Mexico?

A picture can say a thousand words... Looking at you all with the hills, houses and that same skyline takes us back to Peru in a second! We're thanking the Lord for what He is accommplishing through your team efforts along side with the ATEK vision. May God richly bless you all as you work there for Him to further His kingdom.

It is so great to see your team actually in Peru and working already. It looks a little chilly. We had a nice day here but cool days ahead and more rain. We just finished picking five pails of raspberries. The girls were thrilled!!! I think they would have rather been painting and sanding like you guys. It looks so beautiful there. I miss you all but especially Harry, Kim and Rebecca. Thanks for the pictures. It really puts things in perspective. May you continue to be a blessing and be blessed!! Love Lori

Hey guys! So glad to see the pictures and hear the news. I know that God will do wonderful things in you and through you with this team ministry experience. Morgan, you're look so experienced with the grinder/sander.... I wonder why? Just like at home in the garage. Are you keeping Josh and John in line? Praying for you all!

It is wonderful to follow up with how you are all doing and especially seeing the pictures. We're praying for your continued health and strength. Tell Ben to get in some of the pictures so we can see him also. I think of you all so often throughout the day and wonder what you are doing now. It is so cute to hear the boys pray for you all at meal time. Their prayers are sincere and I don't even have to remind them to think of you. That's awesome. Sarah has some exciting news for you all when you get back. Miss you and love you.

Your words of encouragement are awesome. We love to hear from you. Lori, Amanda, Jenn, we love you. Thanks for the notes!!!!!!!! Kim had a touch of altitude sickness yesterday, but is working today again. Trying to get her to eat more... Apparently, resisting your father's instructions is a symptom of it too. Other than that, we're doing great. Love Harry

It was great hearing from yesterday and we are glad to hear that everyone was feeling good again yesterday. It sounds like the work is progressing nicely. Send more picture when you have a chance. Can't wait to see all your smiley faces. May God continue to keep you all safe and make sure ben gets some of the snacks you brought. Thanks Ben for giving Harry that hug from me. I hear it was a doozy!!! Lots of Love Lori, Jen and Amanda
