Our Time at the Orphanage
Thursday noon we were on the road to the orphanage. Upon the arrival we were greeted with shouts of joy from the children. Many of them recognized us. They kept asking by name , about people from previous teams.
The kids were sharing their experiences from camp, they had just returned. The school is over and they are having so much fun playing outdoors, biking, and climbing trees, doing crafts. it was a joy to just run and play with the children, talk to them, get to know them better. Edna was truly blessed to see to the work shop equipped with all the necessary equipment for teaching the boys skills of the trade of repairing vehicles, bikes, etc. She had an opportunity to meet with the instructor. What a fine young man! What a delight to check out the totally redone wreck of a car that we had viewed a number of years ago.”I was so thrilled to see what God can do when we entrust our funds to Him. The investment I made here is for eternity. The story was told of a thirteen year old student who was attending regular classes and could already weld just as good as the instructor. What a joy to see the fruit of our giving and prayers.”Edna
We got a chance to see the transition home and were so impressed by the progress of the project. The house was of wood construction, just like in Canada. This is the first in this area.
With the help of German Christians, the church is now ready for insulation. We are so happy for this congregation .God is totally looking after His own.
