January 2016: ,

A team of 15 people, with group leader Dick Westeringh and HFL leader Jason Krul, worked alongside our partners at United Christians International (UCI) and FONSOPED. The team was involved in various ministry activities such as home and school construction, health assesment and teaching, and other activities within the community.

Team Testimonials:

“[One highlight was] being introduced to how the pump for irrigation works. How the people worked together, how it gives them hope & pride, and generally how this can change many lives and possibly even Haiti.”

“The good things that organizations are doing here are starting to have a positive impact.”

“My main objective [in the next 6 months] would be to seek opportunities to serve and help Haiti in my community on a regular basis.”

“[In the next six months I will] be more aware to the moments God may be telling me something and to act on them.”

“[This trip has compelled me] to share more, help others that need it and not think about myself so much.

“[In the next six months I will] seek the Lord for His direction more and rebuild our relationship.”

“I loved interacting in a work and play setting with the people—I made so many amazing connections during this trip.”

“Clean water, nutrition and access to effective health care is something everyone should have.”
