Strong Roots' desire is to build a community centre/church building on a nearby plot of land that was purchased. However, due to government regulations they have not yet been able to begin construction on the land.
The spiritual care of the community is a continual priority for Strong Roots, so they currently hold regular church services, Bible studies, and Sunday school programs for the children on the rooftop of the Oasis hotel.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) was a hit with 50 children (aged up to grade 5) who came for three evenings to hear Bible stories, memorize scripture, play games, and complete crafts (tie-dyed t-shirts, picture frames and friendship bracelets).
In addition to VBS, Renew Church led a Youth Night that included a Bible lesson, singing and even an escape room!
The exposure to God’s word and his love, as well as the love of their visitors, told these youth that someone cares deeply about them!
