We have arrived in Budapest. We just walked out of the airport with 30 suitcases and backpacks… no passport check, no welcome to Hungary, no stamp in the passport.

The next hour or so was spent tetrising the luggage into this Mercedes tall cargo van. Then we loaded up and headed for the border.

The countryside is so familiar, prairies meet west coast. It is warm and wet, raining lightly. The villages are quite European looking, salt box houses with steep pitch, a church at the center of the village, everything earth tone with red roofs.

we just had our first gas station dinner, fresh buns with varying meats, delicious!

its 8pm and dark. Still a bit to the border. Join us in praying for smooth crossing.
