Community Project:
In progress
COVID Relief
As the COVID 19 pandemic sweeps across the globe, the government of Haiti followed many country's lead by locking down all non-essential services, international and domestic travel - forcing many who are already desperately poor deaper into poverty. For a vast majority of Haitians who live day-to-day, they simply do not have the savings, or food rations to endure a prolonged lockdown where their small businesses are closed, outdoor markets closed, and basic supply lines cut off.
UCI has responded by assisting within their surrounding communities with not only food assistance, but also basic medical care, handwashing stations, and increased agriculture projects to help increase food security.
