Community Project: In progress
Well Project
, Haiti
The community of Martineau (and its surrounding area) have largely depended on a small local river for their source of water. Women and children are commonly seen walking several kilometers with a bucket of water on their head up the river embankment to their homes.
A local clinic reports that the majority of cases treated in the region are related to water borne diseases due to the lack of access to clean drinking water.
In partnership with the Haitian Ministry of Integrated Rural Development, we hope to provide a number of surrounding communities a source of clean drinking water by drilling wells in strategic locations.
