Community Project: In progress
COVID Relief
, Haiti
As the COVID 19 pandemic sweeps across the globe, the government of Haiti followed many country's lead by locking down all non-essential services, international and domestic travel - forcing many who are already desperately poor deaper into poverty. For a vast majority of Haitians who live day-to-day, they simply do not have the savings, or food rations to endure a prolonged lockdown where their small businesses are closed, outdoor markets closed, and basic supply lines cut off.
Food security has become increasingly challenging as prices have increased and students do not attend school currently to receive their daily meal
FONSOPED has responded by providing food packs to families within their community.
$150 provides a food pack to a family for 1 month
