Where we’re working:
Ensenada, Mexico
Children in Mexico face a potentially difficult life. According to the Latin American Foster Care Network, an estimate of 400,000 children in Mexico live without parental care, including 100,000 who live on the streets. The girls who now call El Refugio home have come from neglecte, abuse, prostitution and/or drug abuse.
The Refuge was built for the purpose of providing a safe location where these girls can connect with those from developed countries who want to participate in ministry opportunities in Ensenada, Mexico and be challenged to grow in their faith. It is located in Chapultepec, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, approximately 2 hours south of San Diego.
