Community Care
There are many needs to be met for widows, handicapped, orphans, and poor families so the Nikopol Baptist Church created a project that provides assistance in medical care for those who cannot afford it, covering gas and hydro bills for those who cannot afford to pay their utility bills, and other unmet needs that arise.

A few years ago when the government decided to cut central heating from apartments and houses we helped many people to bring gas heaters right into their own homes and when we did all that work the government didn’t require any renewal of document

This summer we held 12 children and youth camps, the turnout was so great- about 500 kids from Nikopol and the surrounding villages. Those were 2 blessed months of fellowship with many kids that don’t have love shown to them at home.

In July, the Nikopol Baptist Church held a camp in the village Pervomay which is 30 km from Nikopol. The Nikopol church and “Revival” church joined together to hold a camp for children and there was preaching for the adults.

One of the many ongoing projects for John and Nadya is ministering at funerals. Many times the remaining spouse has a difficult time providing the required funds to hold a funeral for a loved one.

Pasha and his sisters are from a family of 11 children. Their mom died around 23 years ago which forced the 2 sisters to care for the rest of the family (Lila and Olya). Their father drank and was not really around.
