Community Project: In progress
COVID Relief
, Uganda
Uganda has been on lockdown since March 21st, which means no public transportation, no gatherings, and most of the shops have been closed. It also means that Ugandans who were living in poverty before any of this happened are struggling even more now. The prices of food have gone up and many people have lost their jobs, whether in factories or as taxi drivers or even as food carriers for people in the market. Ugandan families are really having a difficult time getting through this.
His Hope Uganda will be providing food packages of five kilograms of posho (Uganda’s staple food), five kilograms of beans, and one bar of soap. A bible verses in every package will be given as a way of encouraging families even more.
$48 will provide a family of 5 food for 1 month.
