September 2017 Project Update:
Letter from the field
Nikopol, Ukraine:
We are proud and extremely happy to know there are people who care and support our ministry in Ukraine. You are far away but we feel your support thanks to your prayers. We can feel your presence when we purchase and give out groceries to poor and needy people. Your donations and support are being converted into blessings for us personally, people we help, and are pretty sure for you to.
Last month we had lots of activities. We had a great camp for children in the village of Chystopol (former Kirovo). Kids from 3 villages came together to join the camp. Some kids even had to walk for over 5 km every morning to be at the camp. Many were happy to receive a free meal because nobody really cares for them at home. It’s sad, but we were happy to take care of them and share the love of Jesus with them. We know you were there to with your prayers and your support.
Similar camps were facilitated in Nikopol during last 4 days of August in one of the poorest living communal living dormitories in Nikopol where we hope there will be a new church one day. This is a new project that local churches are involved in as we brought food, setup equipment, etc.
Vita was able to mobilize local people as we collected a bunch of school bags, supplies and distributed them among the neediest children in villages and communal living dormitories. For many kids it was like a miracle and some said that they never had anything as nice as the gift they were given. Praise God for miracles we both have received in our lives!
We keep visiting needy people such as widows, poor families, handicapped and refugees, bringing them food and what they need for their daily life. Some do not have any relatives and are left to care for themselves. We however believe God loves them all and each of them needs our support. Thanks to you we can be involved in such ministries such as these.
