Community Project: In progress
COVID relief
, Ukraine
Many people are without jobs. Middle age groups are suffering as they have children to feed with no government providing assistance. People in the villages have the same need in food because they are currently planting their gardens and used up last year harvest.
Mikhail and Vera Vlasenko are bringing hot meals to elderly people stuck at homes from what they themselves are able to provide.
Prior to Covid-19 the Vlasenko's ministry was more social oriented: gathering, fellowship, bible studies, and distributing some food during these events to the most poor. The plan of action now is to purchase food and hygiene hampers and deliver it to 130 families who have been identified needing assistance.
$55 will provide a food and hygiene supplies to a family of 3 for 1 month. Total budget is $6,500.
Hampers include:
Rice, buckwheat, vegetable oil, butter, flour, tea, canned fish, sugar, pasta, and hygiene supplies.
