Community Project
Strong Roots Ministry plans to serve the Yapak by providing the following:
Church Building: To offer a building to the community as a central place to meet, housing a church, library and computer lab. In January 2017 the land was purchased for the building of the church. A full-time pastor will be hired.
Medical Emergency Fund: Strong Roots will continue to provide the funds and transport the sick to get medical help that is beyond the scope of the medical clinic in the community centre.
Feeding Program: Strong Roots will continue to feed those identified by teachers as most at risk.

Rodel is a staff at the Oasis that was complaining about a lump in his throat. He was able to get a lumpectomy at a medical mission last Oct. I took his sample for a biopsy and the results came as positive for cancer.

So we decided to do what we already are doing only to make it on a larger scale. At this point we have provided over 16,000 meals and will continue to do so until the Island opens for business again. A small girl came to have a meal one day.

As of September 2016 the playground has been completed. There are swings, firemans pole, climbing wall to name a few items. The children love spending time on this new item.
