This group from Barrhead, Alberta traveled to Ensenada, Mexico to work alongside the ministry of El Refugio. During their time, they built relationships with the girls that have come to call El Refugio home. Together with our partners, they were involved in children's ministry, some vehicle maintenance and outreach to the community.

They’re Coming Home

Yesterday we said our goodbyes shortly after breakfast after breakfast and headed north across the border. This week of ministry with Randy, Sandy and the girls of El Refugio has been absolutely incredible.

[Yesterday] we worked on priming the walls and putting insulation up in [the new buidling] in the compound.

Most of the girls went to school today so we didn’t spend much time with them. I’m going to buy hot sauce when I get the chance!

Memories That Last

This trip as been amazing so far. Apart from losing my glasses in the ocean. Friendships have been made!

VBS was interesting; the kids were giving hugs which was good but [it] makes me sad knowing I will not see them for a while.
