“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” (Psalms 8:1)
His Name is majestic in all the earth! His Name is majestic in Ensenada! I saw in El Refugio a place in which the souls are restored, the broken hearts are healed.
This is day 5. We started the day with a time of prayer, we had the breakfast and then we had “girl time” in the kitchen, preparing lunch for the seniors. We shared experiences, we talked about different things, and we built relationships. I told Perla that in romanian her name’s meaning is pearl and she was very excited, maybe because she felt precious and she felt that is something special about her.
Then we wrapped some candies for the children, because tomorrow we will be involved in the children ministry and each child will receive a little bag with candies. I am looking forward to seeing the joy on their faces!
Afterwards we went to an seniors’ home. We sang some carols, we prayed together, we had lunch, each of the seniors received a gift and we played some games. There are homeless people brought by police to this refuge or people abandoned by their families. It was touching to see the meeting of two socially neglected groups: the elders belonging to nobody and the abused girls. The girls were full of joy and energy and that joy could be seen also on the faces of seniors. We are glad that we brought a smile to their faces. I am glad to see that the girls have the desire to help and maybe they were encouraged to be thankful for what they still have.
Thank you for the fact that you are praying for us!
