Bethel Romanian Team Blog:
Hard work and sacrifice

We had a full day today, starting with joining the school for the flag raising ceremony. The team had the opportunity to visit the classrooms and talk with the school director. One of the highlights was learning how the teachers have bought into the vision, and sacrifice by taking a lower wage and providing extra help for the students.
We got to see first-hand, on a few occasions, the amount of work people do here. One example is hand digging massive water reservoirs. Instead of waiting for the possibility of a tractor to be donated, the community began working with what they had — their hands — to dig a huge water catchment that will supply the water needed to irrigate the large garden. This, in turn, will supply food for the livestock in and around some of the community.
There are so many more examples of the hard work it takes to make your way on this extremely desolate land. We have a whole new perspective when drinking clean water or taking a shower, as the closest clean water source is a 4 hour return by vehicle.
Thanks for praying. The team did wonderful today and are gaining a greater understanding of what God is doing through Lemuel Ministries.
