Cochrane Alliance Church - August 2017 | Hungry For Life

August 2017: ,

Cochrane Alliance Church has a long-standing partnership with Pastor Victor and the Jesus Vienne Alliance Church in San Raymundo, Guatemala. The objective of this trip was to continue supporting the church and its work within the community. The team served in many ways; they built stoves for people in San Raymundo, taught English classes at the school, hosted a sports day and prepared and delivered food hampers to members of the community.

Team Testimonials:

"It's very encouraging to see the school doing so well. I'm encouraged to keep pressing forward with the task of supporting them."
"One hlighlight was being able to see peopel from previous trips and being able to help others."
"This trip has shown me the spiritual opportunity that there is in the school with hundreds of kids."
"I realized that whatever you put your mind to, God can help you do."
"This trip reminded me of the power of Christian brothers and sisters around the world and how this eight year partnership is so incredibly powerful."
"I've been changed in my confidence with the decisions made 8-9 years ago to start this arrangement—they were decisions well made."
"This trip has confronted me on how I live, think, feel, and act in my own life back home. The whole trip has thrust me into a 'new world'."
"This trip has made me realize the importance in a community of fellow believers—how we need each other for support."
"I hope that I will be more aware and thankful for how much I have going forward."

Carnival & a birthday!

Today was another full great day---with most reporting a good sleep!!  Victor was able to hire somebody to build a 2nd floor above his house, so the boys are sleeping in 3 new rooms—and the roosters are less loud.  We’re trying to convince Dan to wear ear plugs we will see if we are successful.
