Cranbrook Community Group - October 2018 | Hungry For Life
Team:

October 2018: ,

A medical group from Cranbrook, BC continued their 15-year partnership with Haiti Arise and the Zanmitay Health Center by providing a two-week medical clinic in the community of Grand Goave, Haiti.

Team Testimonials:

"One highlight was the close interaction with the Haitian patients."
"What breaks my heart is the surgeries that do not happen due to the cost. It's very hard to walk away and not be able to help."
"One highlight was traveling to a nearby community to help those who could not travel to the clinic. Seeing people in their own environment gave me a better appreciation of the Haitian culture."
"My thoughts and feelings have changed about what is & is not 'needed' in our lives."
"I have learned not to complain about what I don't have; but to appreciate what I do."
"I have become a better, more accepting person and believe that everyone should experience something such as this."
"I need to learn more so that I can provide more. This trip reinforced that I want to empower and support others towards finding solutions for themselves."
