A joint team of 10 from Mountain View Fellowship in Heber, Utah and 4 from Parkside Church in Chino, California traveled to San Pedro Sula, Honduras to work with Cristocentro in Nueva Florida. They worked on classroom construction, visited families in the surrounding area and strengthened and continued their relationship with the people in this community.

Celebrating Children's day

Today we started off with a normal day got on the hour or so long bus ride but first we stopped at the bakery to get a cake for Tanya and Maira because it was their birthdays. When we got to the church it started off norma. We did VBS, greeted everyone, then went to work.

Rejoice, this is the day the Lord has made...this is how I started my morning in group prayer for the day. And what a day it was! This is my third mission trip and it was the longest most action packed day that I have contributed in so far.

Great day of work, and some rain too

Honduras, its been 6 days. Work is going well. I’ve been laying block all week. It’s been an honor working with the  local workers. There’s not a lot I can teach them, on the contrary, they are teaching me. I am blessed to be here.

1st full day in Nueva Florida

Blessed and Humbled beyond words. This is  my first mission trip and the experience arriving at the airport was the warmest welcome I have received in my 63 years. There were 25 people from the church of Penasquitos who greeted us with welcome signs, balloons and smiles to light up a room.
