Free Reformed Group - April 2018 | Hungry For Life

April 2018: ,

At the end of April, a team of 10 from Free Reformed Church and community traveled to Guatemala to work alongside our partners in Membrillal and Zapote. Following a trip up to Cubulco to visit projects supported by the church, the team worked alongside local staff to build a house and stove in the community of Zapote, as well as assisted in the construction of an elementary school in Membrillal.

Team Testimonials:

"I have been encouraged by the strong faith shown by those in need. I have been provoked to assess my own dependence on God."
"This trip made me realize how little is required to make a change in someone else's life."
"This trip humbled me and has helped me search the scriptures and myself."
"A huge part of this trip, for me, was the camaraderie and deep group discussions during the evenings."
"In the future I will learn to use the gifts God has given me more appropriately."
"Less social media—more time in the word."
"Learning of the abuse that afflicts women and children, and how it is so culturally acceptable, broke my heart."
