Team Testimonials:

“Seeing how missions organizations work and help people become self sufficient—God is building [in me] a passion for becoming involved in missions work.”
“I think that I will be happier with the simple pleasures in life, like silence, scenery and small talk. I no longer think that media and social media will make me as happy.”
“I realize that although Canada is wealthy, we are very spiritually poor. It encourages me to become the type of disciple that makes disciples.”
“God really has been challenging me to check my rhythm of life and how I use my time in building all relationships: God, family, friends.”
“I won’t be complaining about small tasks after seeing men day after day chipping rocks into gravel using hammers.”
“As we were visiting the school kids and seeing where they live, [I saw] how little they have and how little made them so happy. God used that as a reminder—even though I may not enjoy grocery shopping—of how thankful I am to be able to feed myself.”
“I feel God used [Pastor Sinor praying for us] to show me that prayer and worship needs to come from the heart, not just the mind (where it’s sometimes restrained).”

Today we woke up nice and early and had some traditional Haitian breakfast which consisted of spaghetti with smoked herring, spices and tomato paste along with hard boiled eggs and mangos. It was actually really good once you got past the fact that you were eating supper for breakfast.

The boys get pumped and the human octopus goes into action.

Today we woke up, had some breakfast and devotions with Jamie & Brian, and then went to the orphanage. We went straight out to hang out with the toddler boys as soon as we arrived. They instantly ran into our arms to have someone to hold them and give them some one on one attention.
