Kwagala Ministries International
Kwagala Ministries International is an organization whose aim it is to provide a home and care for children living on the streets in Jinja, Uganda. Many of these children have ended up on the streets after they've either been dis-owned or kicked out of their homes or run away to escape abuse and neglect. A childhood spent surviving on the streets is no way for a child to have to live.
Kwagala began back in 2012 when Robbie Palmer (Canada) connected with Raoul Mugosa (Democratic Republic of Congo) and they began to talk and dream about what it would be like to provide a home for these children living on the streets. In February 2013 they brought in their first boy, Emma, who was only 7 years old at the time. Since then they have welcomed 11 other boys and 1 girl into their family.
Kwagala desires to provide not only a safe place for the children to live, but to provide an education, to train them up in the gospel, and ultimately reunite them with their families in the hopes that relationships can be repaired and the parents can be taught how to provide and care for their children.
