Mount Cheam Community Group - July 2018 | Hungry For Life

July 2018: ,

In July, a team of 11 students and teachers returned to the community of Grand Diable in Northwest Haiti to continue their work with Lemuel. They worked alongside locals to assist in the construction of the primary school building, participated in agricultural projects including planting trees, and did home visits throughout the community to the sick, elderly and widows.

Team Testimonials:

"The fact that people have to go everday without sufficient food & water is unnecessary!"

"A trip like this changes your view on poverty. You realize that they are real people with loved ones and feelings trying hard to live day to day nevermind plan out a future."

"This trip has reminded me to be thankful for all the blessings that I have."

"One thing I will do differently in the future is think about my food and water waste."

"I will remember all the poverty that I have seen and to the best of my ability I will help others in need."
