This team of passionate indiviudals partnered with Pastor Victor to do Bible and English education in the local school, home visitations in the community and minor construction projects in the community.

Rest day

Today is our 5th day in Guatemala, and it was a festival day of the local patron saint (who the town of San Raymundo is named after), therefore there was no school today and so we enjoyed doing some tourism in the city of Antigua.

Today as most days started with the cock-a-doodle-doo of our “friend” the rooster who is still not quite able to tell time as he does this just before 4:30 a.m.

Skits, bus shelters & chickens!

When we were planning this trip to Guatemala, I was happy to see that we were stepping into a strong partnership that is led by the church in San Raymundo. Our projects were planned together with Pastor Victor, and today we started on that work.

Start of a great trip!

Greetings from San Raymundo! The Ottawa Community Team made it here safely last night after a long day of travel. We overcame a ground stop in Newark that delayed us over two hours and an exciting trip from Guatemala City late at night here to San Raymundo.
