Day 3!

This post by Rosanne & Brian
Today we woke up and started with devotions and then breakfast. Dina once again spoiled us with a full breakfast of eggs, sausage and pancakes.
This morning we ran the Sunday morning kids program for the church. After games Brian told the story of Noah’s ark, complete with a parachute ark, the kids acting as Noah, his family and the animals and Peter, Richard and Gerald with a bat acting as the ‘evil people’ (Richard is healing quickly). The story ended with a child acting as a dove being literally flown across the room to gather a branch. Jeanne then taught them a new song in Spanish (thanks for Nataly for translating) and snack. We then set up a piñata for the kids to bash for candy and played more games. Peter, Gerald and Brian did weight training with the kids; Richard attempted (unsuccessfully) crowd control with the piñata. The time ended with lots of hugs from the kids. Everyone had a great time.
After lunch we relaxed, played dutch blitz and Richard tried to teach the rooster time (since he seems to be confused). Church was at 4 tonight and was an amazing experience with God’s presence being very evident, even with the language barrier. Peter and Jeanne were able to lead 3 songs (in English with Spanish words up on the screen). The worship band jumped in during the last song which was very cool. Rosanne, Brian and Peter told their testimonies.
After church there was a special dinner to celebrate all that God has done for the church and especially the kids here in San Raymundo. January is the start of their school year and they are very thankful that the school now includes grade 7. We were able to join them, meet new people, have interesting conversations, and for some of us, Spanish lessons given by children.
We are now back at Pastor Victors house listening to the fireworks start, writing the blog and getting ready for more dutch blitz.
