Build one house.

Built one stoves.

Worked on the church building.

Team Testimonials:

"I truly enjoyed building the brand new house for Lilly - that was very rewarding. Pastor Jose in Zapote said that Lilly was the first one in her family to go to church and she was a big influence on her family and community. Now, when I see someone who isn’t a Christian, I wonder if they could be like Lilly and lead their family to Christ."
"I am going to allow for more margin in my life. The amount of kingdom work we were able to accomplish when we set Cassie the distractions of the this world amaze me. I intend to not be constantly tied to technology over the next 6 months and focus on building deeper and stronger relationships. I am also going to find a way to build and improve my Spanish."
"I just love how everyone here is so kind hearted and loving and realize that I could be better at that and that I need to become better!"
"It opened my eyes to first world problems. Brought me closer to God in a way I didn’t expect. I think the Lord has changed me by opening my eyes and perspective to serving, that is something I want to do more of and be able to make an impact locally."
"It was nice to get out of the materialistic culture and be able to focus on relationships. A lot of my moralistic wants have become less important to me."
"The experiences have made me more open minded, open to new cultures, open to building deeper relationships with people and more open to serving others before serving myself."
"I can expecting to just work and go home but rather came and am leaving a changed person with having lived on of the most incredible and inspirational experiences of my life, thank you."
"This trip has showed me that when people are focused on serving God and showing His love that people of any nationality can work together, pray together and have great conversation without fear and anger and can be selfless."
"I understand so much better than before what it means to be a mirror to reflect God’s love to others."

Day 6

Today was another day in San Lucas working at the church across the street.  It seems that most of us are starting to be accustomed to the local noises at night, settling into our beds, and finding some more restful sleep or the hard work and exhaustion is taking over.  This morning the wonderful ladies cooking our meals whipped up some French toast, bacon, and the best tasting fruit with some yogurt and granola.  I think I speak for us all when I say these meals are going to be deeply missed.

Santa Marta Village

Our fifth day here in Guatemala started a little earlier than the rest but you can bet all the qetsallas in Curtis’ pockets that we were eager to break ground again and get back to work.  After filling our bellies with coffee and Mirna’s delicious breakfast burritos, we set out for the jungle off
