South Mountain Community Church South Jordan Campus Men's - November 2014 | Hungry For Life

A team of 7 adult men from SMCC in South Jordan, Utah traveled to Guatemala for 9 days. This was the second time that SMCC sent an all-mens group to Guatemala .

The team traveled to the communities of Membrillal and Zapote to work on building the foundation for the church in Membriall. They reconnected and continued to build lasting relationships between the communities and the people of South Mountain.

Community projects: 
Additional items accomplished: 
  • Made mortar and layed concrete for the cirstern
  • Built foundations for the church in Membriall
  • Work on the cistern at the school in Zapote
  • Provided bridge opportunities for Guatemalan pastors to share Christ
  • Provided skits and lead worship at their youth event

The Cornerstone

We had an amazing day working on the cistern and baptismal at the church in Membriall.  Lots of sore muscles, a skinned knee, a few sore backs (lots of manually mixing concrete and carying it in buckets), and a lot of humility.  It was all us "office boys" could do to keep up with the Guatemalans
