A team of 15 young adults led by HFL leader Steve Johnson and church leaders Mandy and Brock Adams served alongside the FONSOPED free school. The team was involved in sponsorship administration as well as VBS activities and constructing a new soccer field for the school. The team was also involved in home visits, local church and orphan care.

Additional items accomplished: 
  • Mountain-side prayer with 30 people
  • Visited 16 families of school children
  • 10 children from local orphanage blessed with a day at a pool
  • 240 children participated in VBS, sports activities and sponsorship administration
  • 3 people led church worship service
  • 10 Haitians employed for a week while constructing a soccer field

It is finished

So today was epic... We started off the day by completing the leveling of the soccer field. The first bit was easy, then we got to the clay pile from the stump we removed.... that was not so easy. But we pulled together as a team and picked, literally with a pick axe, away at it.

Soccer showdown

Another solid day in Haiti, worked hard and played hard. We finished up the administration from the school, every kid is now accounted for. Pumped! VBS was awesome with the Grade 7's and 8's. We had them act out bible stories and they took it head on and really impressed us.

A day in the clinic

So, it is officially day 9 into our trip and it has been a journey so far! There's something so enjoyable about having a fresh cup of coffee as you do your devotions and overlook the view of the early morning sunrise as it begins to shine over the many lush hills here in Haiti.
