After a week and half of hard work the team is finally taking it easy. Early this morning (this time it was our turn to wake up the roosters) we headed to Club Indigo which is an hour and a half north of Port-au-Prince. It used to be a Club Med and was a real hot place to stay back in the 60s and 70s(Bill and Hillary Clinton honeymooned here)  but it’s definitely declined since its glory days. A whole block of hotel rooms at one end is full of rooms in different stages of being scavenged.  When something needs to be replaced on the good part of the hotel they take it from that abandoned block of the hotel so that end looks like a scene from a post-apocalypse movie.  I think our team of 14 makes up half of the total guests at this hotel right now. Other than that the hotel is great. It’s clean, the staff is friendly, the food is good, and there’s a beach so the team is really happy.  Tomorrow we head back to the Krul’s place for the night and then off to the airport.  I really enjoy these trips. This one even more so because the team has been such a great group to work with. But, I speak for a lot of the guys here when I say I can’t wait to be back home to our wives and kids. It’s an amazing experience to go to see Haiti and we’re all so thankful for the people back home who are holding down the fort while we’re out here. We cant wait to see you all and share all the things we've learned here!
