You Feed Them - February 2014 | Hungry For Life

February 2014: ,

The team was involved in a variety of project and ministry opportunities which included the following:

  • Agriculture—clearing land, working with the community to lighten the work load
  • School—assisting with language classes
  • Health—teaching on hygiene
  • Spiritual—pastoral and leadership training

In addition, certain members of the team also visited the village of Bumala, Kenya and the Mwanza District of Tanzania, to determine how YouFeedThem can assist these villages in their agricultural efforts to reach self-sustainability.

Team Testimonials:

“[In the coming months I will] free up more resources for missions.”
“Now I truly understand the difficulties other people/cultures have.”
“Now that I have a living experience, I can greatly improve my awareness and teaching that will include raising funds.”
“I saw many children walking alone on dangerous roads; [God has] taught me to accept the things that I cannot change and change the things I can.”
“I have learned a new appreciation for another culture and protocol.”
“[I was affected by] watching people going long distances to carry dirty water.”
“[In the coming months] I plan to open a new business to bring support to Kenya and Tanzania.”
“[In the coming months] I will consider other ways that could be more effective to raise awareness of the 3 new villages and ensure all plans to help are helping not hurting.”
