Following the devastating hurricane that struck Haiti's south coast in October, 2016, many of the homes in and around Grand Goave were damaged or destroyed. Haiti Arise began the initiative to repair / rebuild as many of the homes as possible throughout their surrounding communities, as it became increasingly obvious that the needs there were being overlooked by the international community. Projects range from purchasing sheets of tin to replace a delapatated roof to building a complete new home for those that are beyond repair.
