Ecole Mixte FONSOPED de Meyes currently provides free education and a daily meal for over 450 of the poorest children in the community. Southside Church has been working in Mirebalais since 2006, and in 2007, began this school with our Haitian partners FONSOPED. The sponsorships allow many children to attend school who would not otherwise to able to afford it. At present the school teaches grades one to twelve but continue to add a grade a year until grade 13 is reached. Eventually this project will benefit over 550 children per year with a free education.
