Day 37 – April 16
This Holy Week, how can you respond anew to Jesus' love and sacrifice for you?
As Easter draws near, we hope you have been praying about the following two invitations from us:
Would you partner with us in the Chilliwack office by becoming a recurring donor to our HFL Operations?
Would you consider a one-time gift to HFL Operations to celebrate Easter alongside us?

These are two tangible ways you could respond to Jesus’ love and sacrifice - extending your love and support through a gift from the finances you steward.
Our staff team are committed to sacrificing for and serving our Canadian partners and our international partners. But we need people like you to help us cultivate spiritual vibrancy and human flourishing through these transformative relief and development partnerships. You are a part of making this work happen.
Perhaps these Lenten Reflections have prompted you to respond anew in another way. Amazing! We trust that God has been speaking.
In the week we now call Holy Week, the Gospel writers tell the story of Jesus approaching and entering Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover meal with His disciples.
We know what is coming. We’ve read this story before.
The disciples and followers of Christ did not. They were living the story.
Your life is also a story. Maybe you are experiencing the triumphant confidence and community joy of Palm Sunday, or maybe you are entering or in a dark night of the soul, feeling betrayed or wanting to run from what is to come.
Jesus was like us in this: He lived life to show us how much God loved us.
Lent is an invitation for us to be present to the pain of Jesus’ sacrifice. Lent also reminds us to respond to Christ’s love for us. Jesus’ love invites us to so many good things: to come, to repent, to be forgiven, to become, to rest, to pray, to be with, to draw near, to be healed, to be at peace, to know protection, to be filled with the Spirit, to be empowered, to go out, and - as the children of God - to enter with joy into the kingdom of God.
May you know and feel Jesus is near as you respond from your heart. He is ready to receive the gift you bring.
Day 38 – Maunday Thursday- April 17
What do the Last Supper and communion (the eucharist) mean to and for you?
