Ending Violence Educators

Ending Violence Educators

EVE is a team of passionate volunteers who engage in facilitating discussions to increase awareness of the dynamics and impact of interpersonal violence and gender-based exploitation in at risk global communities.

This incredible team of nurses and health educators work alongside many of Hungry For Life's partners in a unique way. Through their curriculum they develop relationships with community leaders to help address stress points within the communities. They also conduct women's health classes, and work in local schools to bring about transformation through the power of knowledge, specifically on the topics of violence and self-esteem.

June Team
In June 2024, the EVE team traveled to the Dominican Republic to work with Hungry For Life’s partners—Pro Infancia, Empowering Action, and Fudesa Ministry near Santo Domingo. Their goal was to foster safe environments where violence is not normalized by empowering local leaders to transform their communities. The team held sessions on violence awareness and prevention with community leaders, taught in schools, and supported care projects for at-risk families.

Middle East

The EVE team's recent adventure of love and compassion was to support leaders in the Middle East working with communities who have been displaced from their homeland due to violence and acts of war. They worked to help foster healing and empower change through open discussions, art therapy, and sharing of stories. Through crafts and play, they worked with children to build values of self-esteem. The team also hosted public health sessions. Read about their journey here.
