McKernan Baptist has been partnering with a ministry, ministry,Priscilla project, in an undisclosed location since 2008.
In the Bible when we read about Priscilla, we know that she was the woman who was a helping hand for her husband Aquila in making tents and thus earning money to run their house and help to needy people
This project is similar to that story, beautician training is provided for women who are from lower income families, many of the ladies are our Church Pastor/Leader’s wives or members of the church. The focus is to teach basic cosmetology such as threading, bleaching, facial, manicure, pedicure, waxing, etc. Ladies are also taught during the training of how to run their business successfully so that they can sustain the business and generate an extra income for their family. Once the program is completed, participants are provided with supplies and equipment to give them a jumpstart on their new business.
